The two main types of requirements for the remote version of the TEAS are technical requirements and room requirements.  The technical requirements have to do with browser and software capabilities. ATI might also ask you to install a private browser, and the proctoring software will ask for permission to access your computer.  The list of basic requirements is: - Test on a PC or Mac (an iPad may be used) Chromebooks are not supported at this time PC – Windows: 10, 8, 7 Mac – MAC OS® X10.12 or later iPad – iOS: 13.0+ - Internet Browser: Google Chrome, Firefox, or Safari - 4 GB RAM - Web camera (internal or external) - Microphone (internal or external) - An internet connection of at least 5 Mbps (ideally 10+ Mbps). Test internet speed using www.speedtest.net - Administrator rights to install Respondus LockDown Browser (Must be able to download an application onto the computer you will use for the exam)  The room requirements refer to the space in which you will be taking your test. Considering the importance of the test, the space in which you take it should not be noisy, poorly lit, or contain any objects that might arise suspicions of cheating.  Here's a short list of what you should know: - make sure you are taking the test in a well-lit room; do not use a spot that has too much lighting, either in front or in the back, since this can affect how your features are picked up by the webcam.  - position yourself so that there is a blank wall behind you (if possible), and make sure you are in a well-lit area.  - do not have any objects that are not related to the test (tissues, drinks, food, books, etc.) in your testing area. If there are additional objects that you require for medical reasons, make sure you apply for accommodations.  - if you take a ten-minute break after your math section, make sure that the camera is able to see your testing area even during that time.  Expect ATI to ask you to show your testing space. If you find yourself in this situation, show a 360-degree view of your space, and listen to any additional instructions given by the proctor.
