1. Electronic Devices
Cell Phones and Smartphones: These must be turned off and stored away during the exam.
Smart Watches and Fitness Trackers: Generally not allowed because of their messaging and internet capabilities.
Calculators: Not usually needed for the ATLS exam, and hence often not allowed to prevent their misuse.
Recording Devices: Any form of recording equipment is prohibited to protect the integrity and confidentiality of the exam materials.

2. Personal Items
Bags and Backpacks: Typically, personal bags and backpacks must be left in a designated area or locker outside the testing room.
Notes and Books: No outside notes, books, or papers are allowed, as the exam is meant to assess your knowledge without external help.

3. Food and Beverages
These are often restricted from the testing area to prevent spills and distractions. Water might be allowed at the discretion of the examiners.

4. Other People
Friends or family members are not allowed in the testing area to maintain a controlled environment and avoid disturbances.

5. Unethical Behavior
Cheating: Absolutely no forms of cheating are tolerated. This includes looking at another candidate's work, using unauthorized materials, or copying answers.
Impersonation: You must be the individual who registered for the exam; having someone else take the exam under your name is illegal and unethical.

6. Disruptive Behavior
You are expected to maintain a respectful and quiet demeanor to not disturb other candidates. Disruptive behavior can lead to expulsion from the examination room.

7. Dress Code
While a specific dress code is not usually enforced, comfortable and appropriate clothing is recommended. Some courses may involve practical components where movement is necessary, so dress accordingly.
